BURT REYNOLDS TRIBUTE CRUISE - SEPT. 8TH

As a tribute to THE BANDIT we are having a tribute/memorial cruise this saturday.
Cruise will meet up and leave from the Street Classics Cruise-In at 9:00PM (Canadian Tire lot at 1608 The Queensway - 427 & Queensway)

The route will take us along The Queensway and Lakeshore Blvd, up Yonge St. to the 401, and over to the Kennedy Commons Plaza lot at the South/East corner of Kennedy and the 401.

We may overshadow the Toronto International Film Festival TIFF as we pass by

Let's line the streets to honour The Bandit !!!

Normally I'd be in for this but I'll be well east of the city tomorrow. If you're at Princess on my way home I'll stop in but otherwise you can tell me about it next weekend.

That is a too bad...response has been great so far.

Souvenir flyers are being printed for the event...and at least one show car (1976 Firebird Drag car) will be waiting at Princess Auto for our arrival.

I made a test run down Yonge St. last night...blasting "Eastbound and Down" and received complements and thumbs-up from other drivers, and pedestrians all the way through downtown.

Note: Slight change of destination. There was no coffee shop open past 10PM at the McCowan Road destination.

We will now finish the cruise at the Kennedy Commons Plaza (Kennedy Rd. and Hwy. 401) where there is a 24 Hour Tim Hortons.

When you exit the 401, just drive straight through at the end of the off-ramp into the plaza.

My only regret from the cruise was continuing on Yonge north of Bloor, and not having a proper video.

Now we have to do this again!!!
