My goal is low 12's for under $10,000 and Mid 11's for $13,000.
That includes the price of the car.
Well with taxes licence ect my $6250.00 car went to$7215.
Calipers rotors pads and a RF tierod + alignment $1000.00 =$8215.00
Headers $450.00+ shipping= $550.00 =$8715.00
Lid + Filter + shipping $250.00= $8965.00
Cat back exhaust used $200.00 = $9165.00
RLCA's PHB = $165.00= $9330.00
Used 16" Rims $50.00 = $9480.00..... actual price 4 used 17's C5 Wagon Wheels $150.00
255/50/16 DR's =$157.00 each plus shipping $420.00 = $10,000.00.... new 275/40/17 MT's $500.00
$9980.00
3600 Stall Torque converter $950.00 .......used FT1 triple disc 9"lockup $450.00
$10,430.00
Rebuilt 12 bolt with new Eaton posi 3.73's and 33 spline axles includes price of housing and labour $3200.
Torque arm used $250.00
$13,880
and many smiles the car went 12.26 at 110.52 before the rear swap so I hit my goal for 12's the 11's goal will be tougher.

Well my quest for 11's with a bolt on car may have ended last night.
I get to the timing shack after after my slowest pass of the night and the young guy says there were reports of "blue smoke" coming from my car.
It felt a little soft and I think there was a little bit of a misfire as I zoomed down the track with a 1.79 60ft to a slow 12.62 at 107.77
I had previously run all(7 passes) 12.50's at 108.Xx with a best of 12.52 at 108.91 on a 1.82 60ft and a worst of 12.56.
I think its just blown valve seals as she ran fine on the way home and has great oil pressure.
So with vacation time this week I will check the plugs and lift the valve covers and take a look.
So much to think about going forward although I may just go the junkyard truck engine route as it did start as a budget build and I think I will stay true to the theme.
Did I achieve my goals..NO... but I got a 120,000 mile car to go 12.26 at 110.5 with just bolt ons and almost full weight with A/C and Leather on 17's.
Did I have fun running this car over 600 times down the track...oh hell yeah.
So progress to date:
60ft 2.0x..... now 1.72 best and consistant 1.7x's improved .28 seconds
1/4 ET 13.71...... now 12.26 improved 1.45 seconds.
1/4mph 103.x now 110.52 improved 7.52 mph

That is a great achievement, especially considering the stock engine. Most would go the high the $$ route first and mod the engine for more power before looking at everything else. Congrats.

Well I checked things out and the good news is she is not hurt.
My PCV lines and my catch can lines were cracked/loose no sucking from the oil fill cap means the engine is good
I will be at the track July 1st to prove my theory.
I figured it was something minor as she drove home fine and had/has great oil pressure.
Thanks Wheelman, you need to be able to use the power you have before you add more.
I take pride in my 60ft times I want a 1.69 on the 17's though.

Picked up a set of 4th Gen Camaro buckets for $50.00...well $40.00.
I found nearly $10.00 under the seats and between the belt holders and consol

Well the old girl still has it,she can be a giant killer.
Vipers, BB Chevelles,Mustang Cobra's and more have all fallen victim at the track.
Tonight we added a Cammed C5 Z06 to the list.(it was cammed not sure about the heads because of his trap speed)
Him.454 RT 2.10 60ft 1/8th 8.343 at 90.03mph 1/4 12.701 at 112.95
Me .049 RT 1.83 60ft 1/8th 8.029 at 88.03mph 1/4 12.598 at 108.16
I get the win by .5083
Not even my best of the night which was a 12.54 at 108.56
DA was 1400 -1800 for the night
