Designated Hotels for the 2016 Bandit Run, with bulk-rate discounts are filling fast.
There are designated secondary hotels available, and plenty more available nearby on Hotels.com or other similar booking services.

Here is one possible Route for The Bandit Run. This route is subject to change depending on who is joining us along the way.

The route is Google Maps picks between the hotels...which may or may not be the actual route.

The run back would be 4.5 hours the first day to the Holiday Inn Express (Angola). This is a good spot to stop...safe neighborhood, and the hotel is right beside a bunch of factory outlets, State Parks, and Lakes.

We will be going right by Michigan International Speedway, one week before the Nascar Sprint Series Race, on the last day. So a stop will be planned just  to see what might be going on at the track.

Registered and rooms booked !
Is the stop at the Holiday Inn Express in Angola as suggested above on Saturday night a stop for sure ?
Can someone confirm if that is a stop and if it is, I will book that room also.

Saw your posting over on Facebook and thought I drop by.... We have two cars that may participate in the run and I am discussing that possibility with a friend now as we finish off the car. The two cars are both 70's with one being a Pro-touring Trans Am and the other being a Pro-touring Formula.  The decision will likely be a last minute deal based on both my friends business schedule and my own schedule.

The 1970 Pro-touring TA "Cherokee Soldier"

1970 Formula Cochise

Doing a long haul is nothing new to us as my friends and I were the founding members of the "Rat Pack" back in 2009 when we drove our Pro-touring cars from Pigeon Forge Tennessee to Las Vegas placing them in the SEMA show and started a fairly new approach of driving cars to SEMA and not hauling them...

1970 Keylime Twist Formula 400 that did the tour

The whole idea of the Rat Pack is individuals have to drive their cars on a single road trip without placing them on a trailer.  So it's 2,000 miles on your own wheels. The club has raised money for various charities as we always hit everyone on the cruise up for funds to charity.

Anyways, I'm getting long winded and I apologize for that. We'll keep working the schedules and advise if we can make it on what would surely be a fun road trip indeed.... All the best for now.

Those cars would be great additions to the Run.

Just checking out the build thread on Pro-touring.com, amazing !

Is the KeyLime Twist a factory color?

Thank you and you bet,,, it is a factory 1970 color Key Lime green sprayed over a bright white base in this case... The factory color is a "low cover paint" so your base does effect the color considerably...

Those old factory colours, which we usually saw as faded lacquer, look so good today as polished base/clears.
